Midgard wall light

sold + tax

Designed in 1922 by Curt Fischer, this legendary balanced-arm lamp was the first of its kind to be produced in Germany. Since that time, various types have continued to be made until the present day in the little town of Auma in Thuringia. We have obtained a small batch of these wall lights manufactured in the early 1950s. Since they have never been used and have been kept in storage all this time, they are in mint condition. The pristine enamel shades show no signs of wear and the sockets are also as good as new. Nevertheless, the paint on some of the lights had suffered a little while in storage and so we had it removed and the lamps polished and given a colourless powder-coated finish, the steel parts being polished and chrome-plated. Two lights like this are currently available.
