Bluish-grey enamel light fittings

sold + tax

We’ve managed to save a dozen of these good-as-new enamel lights from a building being refurbished in the port district of Hamburg. The light fittings are in such good condition because they were kept in rooms which were completely dry, preventing them from turning rusty. The lights don’t contain any markings to indicate when or where they were made, but taking an educated guess we reckon they date back to the 1940s or possibly shortly thereafter. What is certain is that they feature a classic design!

The junction boxes are made out of steel. The enamel shade is bluish-grey outside and white inside. The protective glass has a few small irregularities (but that just goes to prove its authenticity!) and is held in place by three brass knurled screws. All the parts have been cleaned and the junction boxes have been brushed, sandblasted and waxed. The light fittings come with an E27 ceramic socket and a bulb.
If required, the lights are also available with a coloured braided flex.
