Hairdresser’s and dentist’s chair

sold + tax

This chair was sourced from a hairdressing salon in a small village in Saxony. The chair's uncertain description is due to the fact that the barber also pulled his customers' teeth on occasion! It was made in 1880 and is hydraulically height adjustable. Its black varnished finish is reminiscent of enamel and features gold patterning. The leather covers on the seat, backrest, headrest and footrest have all been replaced. As well as swivelling 380°, the chair can also be adjusted into a host of different positions.
