Vintage industrial storage tubes

This rare waste bin is made out of compressed cardboard. Sourced in an old East German cotton mill, it was probably made in the 1940s or 1950s. The heavy cardboard has a leather like feel and a waxed patina.

We have various sizes and types in stock. Please note that some of the vintage tubes show traces of usage and tears.

Large battery glass vessel

Filled with acid and lead, vessels like this were used as emergency power generators in factories and public buildings. This moulded glass version was made in Germany between the early industrial age and first few years of East Germany. The glass contains tiny bubbles and other slight manufacturing flaws, making each one unique. Professionally cleaned. Without decoration.
