Steel cabinet

sold + tax

This steel cabinet dating back to around 1890 is 130cm wide, 65cm tall and 50cm deep. The steel is sandblasted, brushed and waxed, while the wood is sanded and oiled. The cabinet was discovered in a disused cotton mill in the town of Meerane in Saxony. Although its origin is uncertain, it is thought to have been made in the metalworking shop there by either a master craftsman or journeyman and put to internal use.
