Strand Spotlight

sold + tax

This spotlight was built in the UK by Strand Lighting in the early 1960s. Founded in England in 1914, the company still produces lighting to this very day for film studios and theatres.

The spotlight is made out of polished aluminium. It has been fitted with an E27 socket for standard light bulbs with a rating of up to 200W and rewired using braided cable. What’s more, each of these swivelling, height-adjustable spotlights has been mounted on a cast-iron base resting on a superb oak pedestal. The iron bases were originally part of the wort boiler control system at Leipzig’s long-standing Bauer brewery, which was demolished in 2011. The cast-iron bases have both been sandblasted, brushed and waxed, and the oak has been oiled.
