IKA 2kW spotlights were made in Leipzig in the 1950s and 1960s by LBL (Leuchtenbau Leipzig), previously known as Körting und Mathiesen AG, the renowned manufacturer of Kandem light fittings.

The body of this splendid example made out of aluminium and steel and the original aluminium stand have been sandblasted, brushed (and partly ground clean) and waxed.

The spotlight has been rewired with a black cotton-insulated wire and fitted with an E40 socket for bulbs up to 2,000W.
