LBL opaline pendant | original colour

This rare light was in production at Leipzig Leuchtenbau in the 1950s and 1960s. It was based on a slightly altered version of design no. 735, a light fitting made by Kandem in the 1930s – which in turn was a modified version of a light devised Marianne Brandt and Hin Bredendieck at the Bauhaus.

These lights are extremely rare – so the fact that we currently have 20 of them in stock is little short of sensational.

The light fitting is available in polished aluminium or in its original colour. The glass shade is hand-blown and overlaid in opal. As the overlay gets thinner further down the shade, the majority of the light is focused downwards. The light is equipped with a retainer fitted with hinge bolts, a conical aluminum dome and a junction box. The E27 socket is made out of porcelain. The pendulum is available in various lengths.

Dimensions:Height: 30cm (11,8")
Diameter glass shade: 23cm (9,1")
