We’ve only managed to salvage a handful of these lights – they were found in the design office of VEB Georgie Dimitrof in Magdeburg, an East German manufacturer of heavy machinery. These double neon strip lights were made by Leuchtenbau Harzgerode, probably in the 1960s, and feature a stunning minimalist design. We've never seen them before and it'll be a long time before we see the likes of them again! The aluminium has been polished and the electrics replaced. The lights are fitted with standard fluorescent tubes.
